Commission Works

I love to work on site-specific projects; they take time, demand teamwork and can be very complex.
Each project requires a different design solution; the concept, materials and form are chosen for the unique nature of the site and its needs.
A successful project utilizes the ear as much as the eye, interaction during the design process with people who own and use the site is important; ultimately the work is for them.

My starting point for each project is to tap into the unique energy of the environment and explore how art can enhance it through a harmonious and integrated relationship that is engaged with the community around it.
I try to design works that have an emotional layer and create a new or deeper sense of meaning for the site; this ranges from fun to contemplative.
